Happiness Is…….Posted: November 30, 2013
I’m pretty sure, the number one thing that makes me forget all my cares, and feel amazing, complete, and fulfilled, is my creative time. The times where I’m creating art, I let go of my anxieties, I change from “tense, fearful, stressed and financially strapped mother and wife” to an individual, that loves herself, her life, and her abilities. I am working on feeling that way in every moment, but for now……the times I’m most happy…..are with paper or canvas in front of me, paints at the ready, and hands covered in ink, paint, and gesso. Don’t get me wrong. My family is everything to me, but sometimes I feel a bit lost as to who *I* am as an individual. Creating art gives that back to me.
I created this layout, 100% with no intention, other than to share for challenges, and to enjoy the process. I ADORE my design team work, but it’s been over a year since I made something “just for me.” I need to do this more often. This is my reminder and wake up call!
So, as I search for the absolute happiness, the best mood ever, I discover it in paint and paper, with creativity and soul searching, and everything melts away. Am I someone else? Nah, I’m just uncovering all the “goop” and finding the sunshine within.
