Seriously Sweet {Layout for Helmar and The Robin’s Nest}

When these amazing products from The Robin’s Nest arrived in a box from my Helmar DT coordinator and friend Erika, I immediately had some ideas start spinning in my head. I was so excited to get to work.

{PS- The turquoise strip at the top left of the page was actually straight at one point…….until the sun melted the self adhesive within 3 minutes, and it slipped down. Yes, it’s that hot here right now! }

I was able to choose from so many wonderful products The Robin’s Nest offers, and the fabric for this flower came in a fun little kit of goodies, and the dreamy dew drops in a variety of colors were perfect for adding a little bit of bling, in a subtle and classy way.  I’m actually not sure why it was that I went with the clock theme; other than I love this Crafter’s Workshop stencil, and the new “flair” I got from Tamara at Paper Play studios featured these fun clocks, and worked beautifully with my Robin’s Nest papers and embellishments. :)

I got this fun “torn open” idea from Vicky Alberto on the Helmar team. I decided to add a bit of the zipper and a layer of the vintage paper underneath, to look like it has been zipped back. I kinda dig it.

I added all kinds of the dew drops (seriously, go to the Robin’s Nest site, and check them out, they are reasonably priced and versatile) in random places, using Helmar Gemstone Glue. And, after a few days of coming back to this layout….it was complete!

Again, I had to take these photos outdoors in the 104 degree heat, this time with NO umbrella (Chipper…I know, that was funny, AND provided fabulous shade, hehe), because a storm with wild straight line winds ripped the umbrella out of the table, and shattered the glass top. :( I am so sad. No table for me for a while, until we can replace the glass. I cannot wait for the beautiful, cool, crisp, sparkling days of fall….it can’t arrive soon enough!

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! Tomorrow, we celebrate my husband’s 36th birthday (we will be the same age for approximately 2 months, before I am older than him yet again). I need to get busy and get a cake baked, and the house rehabbed a bit!

Blessings!~ A

    ROFL … I read the umbrella bit and was laughing again :) But so sorry to hear that the table is now broken, that is a bummer! I bet you are waiting for Fall, but I am enjoying our bit of winter … long may the heat stay AWAY!!!

    I love the little clocks, soooooo cute. Those dew drops remind me of something that I have had in my stash for eons. I think I shall have to go see if I can find it.

    I hope your husband has a great birthday!!!

  2. WOW…this is stunning ! TFS.
